MBA 687 OER
SIMULATION ARCHITECTURE

The SingTech Environment

The organizational assets that make the course operate as a connected consulting simulation: company website, leadership materials, project history, internal evidence, executive communications, and in-class laboratories.

The SingTech Consulting Environment

SingTech is a fictional organization used to make the course feel like an ongoing consulting engagement rather than a sequence of disconnected assignments. Students work as external change-management consultants and interpret a growing body of organizational evidence across the term.

Public Company Website

A faux external website creates a public-facing organizational identity and gives students a stable place to review the organization.

Open SingTech

Leadership Profiles

Leader biographies and related evidence support stakeholder analysis, leadership interpretation, and later deliverables.

Open Leadership

PMO / Project Log

A project-history artifact reveals how informal teams, prior initiatives, results, and control plans have operated inside the branch.

Simulation Evidence Layers

Company-wide communications
Messages from headquarters, HR, and senior leaders add context, pressure, and sometimes conflicting organizational signals. These are awareness artifacts rather than direct student prompts.
Executive sponsor
Dirk Ekuts, VP of U.S. Operations, functions as the recurring client/champion. His video messages and Executive Inbox communications introduce work, clarify expectations, and apply pressure.
Internal organizational evidence
Engagement surveys, exit interviews, branch overview data, leader self-evaluations and 360 feedback, and other internal materials give students evidence they must interpret rather than simply accept.
Project history
The PMO log provides evidence about how SingTech actually gets work done—including informal networks, training inside projects, implementation outcomes, and areas that fell outside formal scope.
In-class laboratories
The ICA sequence lets students practice the analytic tools they need before applying them in the next professional deliverable.
OER design note: the most useful replication principle is not the fictional company itself. It is the layering of public-facing context, private client communication, internal evidence, interactive practice, and professional deliverables into one continuous engagement.
