It's Time: a bald man in a jacket with elbow patches pauses at an amber-lit doorway beside an empty chair.
An original jazz ballad · Kurt Stuke

The story behind the song

It's Time grew out of an unexpected divorce after a relationship that lasted twenty-five years. Letting go was hard. Fear made me linger, and hope kept me holding on, even as I began to understand that the relationship was over.

With time came clarity. I could honor what those years had meant and still recognize that I needed to shut the door and move forward. This tune lives in that difficult space between knowing and accepting—and in the quiet resolve that finally follows.

It was time. It was right.
